Wouldn't it be nice to use internet on your flight to your travel destination? The last couple of years in-flight WiFi internet has had problems to being integrated by commercial airlines. This was mainly caused because U.S. airlines did not want to use it afraid of possible terrorist attacks. But now a new in-flight internet era is at the horizon. Alaska airlines has announced to start testing high speed satellite internet on their aircraft next year.
In the past many in-flight internet projects have failed because the US airliners were reluctant to provide internet access on their flights. But now it seems that this is al changing. Alaska Airlines will start testing in-fligh internet next year and also American Airlines announced to start testing internet soon.
American airlines will not use satellite internet connections but ground to air internet using radio towers which will beam the internet to the airplanes.
As soon as the US airlines will adopt the WiFi in-flight internet it will give these services an enourmous boost and will bring internet to Bali bound flight much closer.
