PC vs MAC security

It is a common sound, Mac computers would be safer than Windows computers. Partly that is true but that is not because of the fact the Mac OS X operation system is safer than his Windows competitor XP or VISTA.

Now Mac computers are getting more popular it becomes more interesting for Virus and Malware builders to target Mac OS X. Until now Windows had a much bigger group of users than Mac and because of that it was not that interesting targeting that group. Now the group of Mac users is growing this vision might change.

This is not only to the fact that the group of Mac users is growing, it is also because Windows is investing millions of Dollars to secure Windows. Because of this it will become more difficult for people to find security breaches in Windows.

The future will show if Mac users can stay feeling more secure as Windows users, even though it would not be smart to think you are invisible for attacks when using a Mac. Be alert is still the best way to go.
